The origin of the Garden Squirrels

Gardening was a thing with my kids as soon as they could walk. We spent much time outdoors planting, landscaping, and volunteering in gardens.

They worked hard and developed a sense of respect for nature and each other in the process. Much of our homeschool curriculum was centered on outdoor activities including plant identification and cultivation.

One day, when the girls had worked extremely hard on a volunteer garden project, I wanted to reward them. To make it fun, I created The Garden Squirrels. These two very friendly squirrels would leave little gifts of appreciation from time to time.

Even though my girls are now adults, The Garden Squirrels still send little gifts … just because.

At EarthenMamma, we are committed to education and value the importance of instilling a sense of curiosity and respect for nature in kids.

The Little Cup of Greens is our flagship product and is the perfect way to introduce growing to children of all ages. There is nothing greater than watching the joy on a child’s face when they successfully plant, tend and harvest their food!

The Garden Squirrels are busy coming up with a whole lineup of kids’ gardening products and educational resources! Stay tuned for great things to come.
